Centennial High School Patriots Swim Team 2010 FORMS: Treasure Valley Swimming Insurance Confirmation* Our season begins Monday, August 16th Practice Schedule: August 16-31, Monday-Friday 3:30-4:30 p.m. Remainder of season: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3:30-4:30 p.m. Meets or team socials are on Tuesdays. All practices and meets will be at the West YMCA. Important Dates: Monday, August 16th, first day of practice; Fees and registration forms due. (Tryouts will be the first two days of practice.) Tuesday, August 17th, 7:00 p.m. mandatory parent meeting, at Centennial’s little theater. Wednesday, August 25th, 6:30-8:30 pm Stroke and Turn officials training at Centennial. Tuesday, August 31st, first team social, details TBD. (Tuesday bye dates will be team socials.) Tuesdays, September 7th, 21st, 28th, October 12th, & 26th are the swim meet dates, warm-ups 4:15 p.m., meet 5:00 p.m. Saturday, October 30th, District Championships Friday and Saturday, November 5-6, State Championships Mid-November, team banquet, details TBD Important Papers: Please print the forms, complete them and BRING THE FORMS AND FEES TO THE FIRST PRACTICE. Please note that fees must be paid in order for your swimmer to enter the pool. Fees: Total fees for YMCA members: $165 Total fees for non-YMCA members: $195 Checks should be payable to Centennial High School Swimming. Items not covered: Team suit, entry fee for State Meet (approx $14), and State Meet T-shirts (approx. $15). Other personal gear such as goggles, towels, athletic bag, practice suit and practice cap, and physical exam cost. Remember: No refunds after September 1, 2010. If you need to make financial aid arrangements please contact Jean Schneider 376-4332 for your options. Physical exams: All new swimmers and incoming 9th and 11th graders must have a physical exam and have their doctor fill out and sign the Physical form. If this exam was done at BSU in the summer, then this part is already done for you. Incoming 10th and 12th graders only need to fill out the Interim Questionnaire. Suits: Each swimmer is required to have a team swimsuit no later than Tuesday, September 7th (our first meet). The Swim and Run Shop on Fairview has the suits and offers a discount to swim team members. This will be your meet suit; we recommend you also have a practice suit of your choice. (Note: polyester suits last longer). One team meet cap is included in your fees. You may want to have a different one for practice.
