Centennial High School Patriots Swim Team 2007 Our season begins Monday, August 20th Practice Schedule: August 20-31, Monday-Friday 3:30-4:30 p.m. Remainder of season: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 3:30-4:30 p.m. Meets or team socials are on Tuesdays. The complete meet schedule is posted on the TVHSS.info homepage. All practices and meets will be at the West YMCA. Important Dates: Thursday, August 2nd , pre-participation physicals at BSU (Taco Bell Arena), see below. Monday, August 20th, first day of practice; Fees and registration forms due. Tuesday, August 28th, 6:30 p.m. parent meeting, West YMCA patio Tuesday, September 4th, first meet of the season, warm-ups 4:15 p.m., meet 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 18th, first team social, details TBD Mid-November, team banquet, details TBD Important Papers: Please print the registration forms packet. Please complete the forms and mail the forms and registration fees to: Dawna Buckingham 11835 W. Patrina Dr. Boise, ID 83713 Mail them by August 14th, 2006. If necessary, registration forms and fees can be delivered to the pool on the first day of practice. Please note that fees must be paid in order for your swimmer to enter the pool. Fees: Total fees for YMCA members: $155.00 Total fees for non-YMCA members: $185.00 Checks should be payable to Centennial High School Swimming. Items not covered: Entry fee for State Meet (approx $12), and State Meet T-shirts (approx. $15). Other personal gear such as goggles, towels, athletic bag, practice suit and practice cap, and physical exam cost. Remember: No refunds after September 4, 2007. If you need to make financial aid arrangements please contact Marilyn McAllister 378-1514 for your options. Physical exams: Idaho High School Athletic Association requires pre-participation sports physicals for all new swimmers and incoming 9th and 11th graders prior to participation in sports. The Ada County Medical Society offers discounted physical exams at BSU (Taco Bell Arena), cost $20.00. Centennial boys 10:00 a.m. Centennial girls 3:00 p.m. Your family doctor can also provide this service. The form is included in your registration packet. Parent or guardian signature is required on the medical history form. In lieu of a physical exam, incoming 10th and 12th graders need to provide an Interim Questionnaire, also provided in your packet. Suits: Each swimmer is required to have a team swimsuit no later than Tuesday, September 4th (our first meet). The Swim and Run Shop on Fairview has the suits and offers a discount to swim team members. This will be your meet suit; we recommend you also have a practice suit of your choice. (Note: polyester suits last longer). One team meet cap is included in your fees. You may want to have a different one for practice. Coaches: Kristi Lee will be our head coach again this year assisted by Kristy Walker (our Centennial contact). We are looking forward to another successful season.
